Jerry Junkin is a University Distinguished Teaching Professor and Vincent R. DiNino Chair for the Director of Bands at The University of Texas at Austin, where he has served since 1988. He leads the Texas Wind Ensemble and heads the Conducting and Ensembles Division. His roles include teaching conducting, wind band literature, and overseeing ensemble activities. He also serves as Music Director of the Hong Kong Wind Philharmonia, Artistic Director of the Dallas Winds, and Visiting Professor at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music in Tokyo.
