Jennifer Williams is an Adjunct Professor and Head Technician in Photography at The Cooper Union’s School of Art in New York City. She holds an MFA from Goldsmiths College, London, and a BFA from Cooper Union. Her practice focuses on large-scale site-responsive photographic installations exploring urban morphology and non-linear urban transformation. Notable exhibitions include shows at the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, Hunterdon Art Museum, and Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. Williams’ work has been featured in ARTnews, The New Yorker, and Photography Quarterly.

Research Interests: Williams’ layered photographic compositions interrogate the physical and temporal shifts in modern urban landscapes from pedestrian perspectives. Her work bridges art and urban studies, visualizing how cities evolve through fragmented, non-linear processes.
