Jennifer W. Caceres

Jennifer W. Caceres, M.D., F.A.C.P., is Vice Dean for Medical Education and Professor of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University's Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine. She has held leadership roles in medical education and student affairs since joining FAU in 2014, previously serving at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine's Regional Campus (2008-2014). Her work focuses on career advising, wellness programs, and quality improvement initiatives.

Dr. Caceres specializes in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, with research on reducing hospital readmissions, developing educational curricula for internal medicine residencies, and addressing medical student wellness. She also explores social media impacts and infectious disease policy.

Her recent publications highlight trends in opioid overdose mortality, medical student wellbeing, cyberbullying, vaccine hesitancy, and innovative discharge protocols. These works span public health, clinical research, and educational interventions.
