Jennifer Rende

Jennifer Rende is an Instructor of Music at St. Mary's College of Maryland, specializing in viola performance. She serves as principal violist for the Baltimore Opera Company and Concert Artists of Baltimore, and has performed with renowned groups such as the Wolf Trap Summer Opera Company and the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra. Her career spans international performances, including engagements with Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Project and Luciano Pavarotti.

Ms. Rende holds a degree from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. She teaches master classes at the University of Maryland and St. Mary's College, and leads musical tours in Turin, Italy. Her recordings include works like Dominick Argento’s A Water Bird Talk and Music for Organ and Strings, showcasing her contributions to classical and contemporary repertoire.

Her research interests focus on chamber music performance, orchestral techniques, and pedagogy. She has participated in prestigious festivals and has a strong commitment to music education through master classes and collaborative projects.
