About
Jennifer Laurent is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Environmental Science, Stockholm University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology of Organisms and Populations from the University of Western Brittany and a Master’s degree in Marine and Coastal Sciences from the European University Institute of the Sea.
Her research focuses on Stress Ecology, Ecotoxicology, and Biodiversity in coastal ecosystems. During her doctoral studies at LEMAR (France), she investigated the ecological quality of the Seine estuary and Brittany coastal rivers using environmental and molecular signatures in the Flounder (P. flesus) as a sentinel species. She currently contributes to the European DESTRESS project, analyzing temporal trends in river biodiversity under multiple stressors through comprehensive biodiversity monitoring data synthesis.
