Jennifer J. Reid

Jennifer J. Reid, PhD, ACC, is the Evaluation Director at the Center for Public Policy within the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University. She also holds an adjunct faculty position in the Department of Psychology, contributing to academic instruction while leading high-impact evaluation initiatives across Virginia.

Her research interests center on applied developmental psychology and program evaluation, with a strong emphasis on mixed-methods approaches and ecological systems theory. Dr. Reid specializes in designing robust evaluation frameworks for prevention and intervention programs targeting youth and adults, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to generate actionable insights.

Through her extensive work, she has collaborated with non-profit organizations, state agencies, and university-based departments, consistently adhering to federal, state, and institutional research standards. Her expertise in survey design, data analysis, and community-engaged research supports evidence-based policymaking and program improvement across diverse populations.

Dr. Reid is a member of the American Evaluation Association since 2013 and the International Coaching Federation since 2020, where she holds an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential, reflecting her commitment to professional growth in evaluation practice and leadership.

She has over 30 years of experience in research and evaluation within academic and public service environments, having previously served as Director of Evaluation and Senior Project Director at the Survey and Evaluation Research Laboratory. Her holistic, collaborative approach strengthens interdisciplinary projects and fosters sustainable partnerships.
