Jennifer Heinly

Jennifer Heinly is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Delaware, contributing to the online M.A. in Strategic Communications program. She teaches courses such as COMM 724: Public Relations Writing and COMM 729: Topics in Public Relations. With over 30 years of professional experience in public relations and marketing, her expertise spans industries including healthcare, legal, high-tech, publishing, and financial services. Heinly holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and a B.A. in Communications from California State University, Fullerton.

Her professional experience includes roles at multiple advertising and PR agencies in Southern California and Denver, covering sectors like telecommunications, real estate, and education. She currently focuses on media relations, news release writing, and PR/marketing planning. Heinly has also served as an adjunct instructor at Concordia University and Vanguard University in California.

Active in professional organizations, she has held leadership roles such as past Chair of the IPA Section of PRSA, past president of the International Association of Business Communicators (Colorado Chapter), and committee member for the Colorado Sports Council. She has been a guest speaker at institutions including California State Fullerton, Biola University, and the Greater Denver Chamber of Commerce.
