Jennifer Gregg

Jennifer Gregg is a Professor in the Communication Department at UMass Boston, currently serving as Interim Associate Dean for the College of Liberal Arts. Her academic career spans roles at UMass Boston and the University of Louisville, where she was a University Honors Fellow and Graduate Director.

• BA in Journalism and Mass Communication from Drake University

Her research focuses on communication technology, telemedicine, diffusion of innovations, and the impact of technology on disadvantaged populations and healthcare. She teaches courses in research methods, science communication, communication and technology, and media effects.

Her scholarly work highlights trends in digital health interventions, media effects, and telecommunications. Key themes include supporting adolescent mental health via telemedicine, analyzing rural broadband impacts, and exploring health communication through fashion and online platforms.
