Jennifer Glover Konfrst

Jennifer Glover Konfrst is an Associate Professor at Drake University’s School of Journalism & Mass Communication. With over two decades of professional public relations experience, she joined the faculty in 2013 after a career spanning Iowa Public Television, Fannie Mae, and U.S. Senate campaign work. Her expertise includes brand strategy, media relations, crisis communication, and political communication.

• Education: Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication and Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Drake University (Pi Alpha Alpha honor society member).
• Professional Background: Former spokesperson and on-air host at Iowa Public Television; agency PR experience in economic development, agriculture, and business sectors; corporate media relations in Chicago.

Her research focuses on the intersection of politics and public relations, particularly analyzing evolving media relations strategies. She is accredited by the Public Relations Society of America and actively contributes to community initiatives like Roosevelt High School PTA and Forensics.
