Dr. Jennifer Green is a Professor and Director of the Multilingual Education Program at Western Washington University. She holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Connecticut, an M.A.T. in TESOL from the School for International Training, and a B.A. in Social Studies Education and Scandinavian Studies from Gustavus Adolphus College. Her research focuses on pre-service and in-service teachers' understanding of disciplinary language and teaching methods, employing Systemic Functional Linguistics and mixed methodologies.
Her work spans educational linguistics, teacher education, and multilingual education, with notable contributions to language immersion simulations and ESL pedagogy. She teaches courses in the ELL/Bilingual Education Endorsement Program.
