Jennifer Creese is a Lecturer in the Department of Population Health Sciences at the University of Leicester, affiliated with the SAPPHIRE Research Group. She holds a PhD in Social Science from The University of Queensland, Australia (2020), specializing in social anthropology and ethnography. Her research focuses on healthcare professional cultures, health worker migration, minority experiences in healthcare, and Jewish identity studies. She previously held a postdoctoral fellowship at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (2020-21) before joining Leicester in 2022.
Her interdisciplinary work bridges healthcare anthropology and Jewish studies, with affiliations to the Stanley Burton Centre for Holocaust and Genocide Studies. She serves as co-editor of the Australian Journal of Jewish Studies. Research interests include dementia family care, healthcare resilience, and migrant healthcare worker integration.
