Jennifer Rich serves as Chair and Associate Professor of Sociology at Rowan University, where she also directs the Study of the Holocaust, Genocide and Human Rights. Her research examines Holocaust memory, transgenerational trauma, and best practices in genocide education. Affiliated with the College of Humanities & Social Sciences, she develops curricula addressing complex classroom conversations about historical trauma and social justice.

- Genocide education pedagogy
- Transgenerational transmission of trauma
- Classroom approaches to difficult histories
Her publications analyze how societies memorialize atrocities, with recent work examining Yizker Bikher memorial books and spatial artifacts of remembrance. She has received the Ibico Reggino Prize (1977) and Lorenzo il Magnifico European Prize (1989) for her scholarly contributions.
