Jennie C. Stephens

Jennie C. Stephens is a Professor at the ICARUS Climate Research Centre, National University of Ireland Maynooth, and an internationally recognized expert in climate justice, renewable energy transformation, and energy democracy. She previously served as Director of Northeastern University's School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs (2018-2022) and held faculty positions at Northeastern University (2016-2024), University of Vermont (2014-2016), and Clark University (2005-2014). Her research bridges climate policy, energy systems, and social justice, with a focus on fossil fuel industry influence, gender and race equity, and transformative higher education reform.
