About
Dr. Jenia Binenbaum is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Plant Sciences, University of Cambridge, affiliated with the Chromatin & Memory research group. Her work focuses on chromatin modifications during pathogen stress and epigenome engineering to enhance plant immunity.
- PhD in Plant Sciences (Tel Aviv University, 2022)
- BSc in Plant Sciences (Hebrew University of Jerusalem, 2015)
- Data Scientist Certification (Technion, 2019)
Research spans plant stress responses, hormone transport, and CRISPR-based genome engineering. Publications highlight advances in aquaporin function, suberin formation, and multi-target genome editing. Collaborations include work on mitochondrial targeting molecules and centromeric recombination.
Her current position involves experimental and computational approaches to manipulate chromatin states for improved plant resilience. Contact: jb2512@cam.ac.uk
