Jemin Kim

Dr. Jemin Kim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology & Health Science at Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS), affiliated with the College of Education and Human Development. He earned his PhD in 2018 from Texas Woman's University, with prior MS and BS degrees from SeJong University, focusing on biomechanics and human movement.

Dr. Kim's research bridges biomechanics with sports and dance, specializing in kinematic and kinetic analysis of movements like golf swings, weightlifting, ballet pirouettes, and gait mechanics. He investigates factors affecting angular momentum generation, injury prevention, and technique optimization through motion capture and force analysis.

His recent work includes studies on kettlebell swings, golf driving mechanics, and multi-turn pirouettes. Dr. Kim teaches courses in biomechanics, motor behavior, and athletic injury prevention, with office hours Monday-Thursday and appointments available.
