Shaoping Qiu

Shaoping Qiu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Leadership Studies at Louisiana State University Shreveport, affiliated with the College of Education and Human Development. He joined LSUS in 2023, bringing expertise in leadership development, organizational behavior, and quantitative research methods.

Education:

• PhD in Human Resource Development (Leadership) from Texas A&M University (2019)
• MA in Educational Leadership from South China Normal University
• BA in Education with a minor in School Psychology from Hunan Normal University

Research Interests span organizational leadership, human resource development, stress and well-being, and service-learning. His work often integrates quantitative methodologies (SEM, HLM, IRT) with STEM education and Industry 4.0 workforce training.

Scientific Contributions focus on servant leadership, organizational citizenship behavior, and the psychological impacts of workplace incivility. He has published extensively in journals like Journal of Engineering Education, Leadership & Organization Development Journal, and Tourism Management.

Teaching includes courses such as Introduction to Leadership, Communication for Leaders, Statistics, Ethics, and Leadership in Complex Organizations. Office hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 1:00pm-4:30pm (CST).
