Jeffrey Scott Doebler

Jeffrey Scott Doebler is a Professor of Music and Director of Music Education and Bands at Valparaiso University, where he also conducts the Handbell Choir. With nearly 40 years of experience, he balances conducting, teacher preparation, and professional leadership. He holds degrees from Luther College (B.A.), Valparaiso University (M.M.), and the University of Minnesota (Ph.D.).

Dr. Doebler has received numerous accolades including the Distinguished Hoosier award and Valparaiso's Excellence in Teaching Award. His career spans 30+ countries with notable performances at venues like the Sydney Opera House and Shanghai Conservatory. He founded the professional Windiana Concert Band and leads the Michigan City Municipal Band. As a leader in music education, he designed the IMEA All-State Future Music Educators Colloquium and conducted the first national All-State Handbell Choir.
