Jeffrey Hamilton is a Professor of Art History at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) since 2000, with prior adjunct roles at Armstrong Atlantic State University and Philadelphia University. He holds a Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Delaware, an M.Arch.Hist. from the University of Virginia, and additional degrees in Art History and Music from the University of Cincinnati.
His research focuses on architectural history, urban development, and 18th-century England, with notable works exploring topics such as elite rural influences on cities, post-WWI architecture, and the role of perception in architectural truth. He has also contributed to the Encyclopedia of Sculpture (2004) and presented at conferences globally.
