Jeffrey Cornelius

Dr. Jeffrey Cornelius is a Professor of Chemistry at Principia College, where he has taught physical, environmental, instrumental, and general chemistry for over 25 years. He also taught at Florissant Valley Community College. His research focuses on structural chemistry using advanced spectroscopic techniques like electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). Cornelius is active in the St. Louis section of the American Chemical Society, serving as chair (2011) and current director.

Notable achievements include the Charles Stuart Harding Mott Distinguished Professor award (2015) and the James Watt Physical Science Award (1981). He mentors students, such as Calvin Nyapete, co-author of a 2013 undergraduate research symposium presentation on chrysanthemic acid synthesis.
