Jeffrey Anderson is a faculty member at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM), teaching tuba and coaching chamber music. He holds a BM and Performer's Certificate from Indiana University (studying under Harvey Phillips) and an MM from Arizona State University (with Daniel Perantoni). As Principal Tuba of the San Francisco Symphony since 2002, he occupies the James Irvine Chair and has performed in major orchestras including the Chicago Symphony and Los Angeles Philharmonic. His career spans solo appearances, recordings, and guest principal roles in works like Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen.
