Jeffery Hewitt

Associate Professor Jeffery Hewitt is affiliated with the Melbourne Law School at the University of Melbourne, where he also holds a Senior Fellow role in the Melbourne Law Masters program. He joined Osgoode Hall Law School (York University, Canada) in 2019 and has a background in legal practice, having been called to the Bar in Ontario in 1998. His academic journey includes graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1996 and completing an LLM there in 2015/16. Professor Hewitt’s research focuses on Indigenous legal systems, constitutional law, human rights, legal pedagogy, and intersections of art and law.
