Jeff Slomba

Jeff Slomba is a Professor in the Department of Art and Design at Southern Connecticut State University. He holds an MFA from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a BA from The College of William and Mary. His work bridges sculpture, 3D design, and geospatial data visualization, fostering collaborations between art and science.

Slomba’s research focuses on transforming geospatial data into tactile, sculptural forms. His 2017 publication in GeoHumanities exemplifies his innovative approach to nonverbal communication through art. He also explores themes like environmental art, spatial humanities, and creative methodologies.

His recent work includes collaborations with geographers, such as the Reintegrate project, and grants from Connecticut Sea Grant and the New Haven Arts Council. He has exhibited extensively, including solo shows at Wave Hill and the Alexey von Schlippe Gallery.
