Jeff Myers is Associate Professor and Chair of Chemistry at Davidson College. His research focuses on protein biochemistry, with particular emphasis on protein structure, stability, and conformational diseases. His laboratory investigates thermodynamic and kinetic aspects of protein folding and misfolding using biophysical approaches.
Professor Myers teaches courses across the chemistry curriculum including Fundamentals of Chemistry, Biological Chemistry, and advanced biochemistry seminars. He mentors undergraduate research projects in protein biochemistry and biophysical characterization techniques.
Education includes a PhD in Chemistry from Texas A&M University and BS from Ohio State University. Prior to Davidson, he completed postdoctoral training at Duke University.
