Jeff Chi

Dr. Jeff Chi serves as Chair of the Construction Management Department at Capitol Technology University, combining over 40 years of industry expertise in construction, engineering, and real estate development with academic leadership. He previously held roles as a professor at Ferris State University and Senior Vice President of Operations for a top 400 U.S. general contractor. His professional experience includes leading capital projects, environmental sustainability programs, and mergers/acquisitions at Macy’s.

Dr. Chi holds a BS in Structural Engineering from Tongji University, MS in Construction Science from the University of Oklahoma, an MBA from Texas A&M University, and a PhD in Project Management from the University of Maryland.

His research and professional interests focus on construction innovation, sustainable project management, and leadership development. He actively contributes to organizations such as the International Facility Management Association, Urban Land Institute, and National Retail Federation. Dr. Chi is committed to mentoring students and emphasizes ethical leadership, stating, "Choosing to be a good person is a prudent financial decision."
