Jean-François Marchi serves as a Lecturer at Aix-Marseille University (AMU) within the Faculty of Law and Political Science. His administrative roles include Vice-President of the University for international relations, assessor to the Dean of the Faculty for international relations, and Head of the Department of International Law and European Law. He also practices law at the Marseille Bar specializing in public economic law, European law, and international law.
Marchi's research centers on Public International Law with emphases on the law of international organizations, collective security law, and international dispute settlement. His scholarly work extends to European Law and Environmental Law through projects including "International law and fundamental rights", "France-Cuba relations", and "The environmental trial", reflecting his interdisciplinary approach to legal frameworks governing global challenges.
As an active member of the CERIC research team under Research Axis 1, Marchi contributes to cutting-edge legal scholarship.
