Jayne Bellando

Jayne Bellando, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and a pediatric psychologist based at the James L. Dennis Developmental Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. In addition to her faculty role, she serves as Co-Director of the Community Based Autism Liaison and Treatment Project and as Co-Director of Healthy Child Care Arkansas, two statewide initiatives aimed at improving developmental screening and child-care practices.

Research Focus: Dr. Bellando’s scholarly work centers on autism spectrum disorders and developmental-behavioral pediatrics. Her research aims to reduce wait times for diagnostic services and to promote evidence-based practices among child-care providers statewide.

Clinical Expertise: At the Dennis Developmental Center—the primary developmental diagnostic clinic in Arkansas—Dr. Bellando participates on autism diagnostic teams and conducts specialized assessments for autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, learning disabilities, and anxiety disorders.
