Jayanta Gupta

Jayanta Gupta is an Associate Professor and Program Director in the Department of Health Sciences at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), affiliated with the Marieb College of Health & Human Services. His research focuses on environmental health, chronic kidney disease, atopic dermatitis, and the genetic underpinnings of health disparities. He also investigates disaster-related health impacts, particularly post-hurricane environmental exposures.

Dr. Gupta’s work bridges public health, clinical research, and environmental science, with a strong emphasis on translational studies. His recent studies include assessing mold exposure in hurricane-affected homes, biomarkers for kidney disease progression, and the role of genetic factors in atopic conditions.
