Aditi Gupta is Professor of Nephrology and Hypertension at the University of Kansas Medical Center, serving as Medical Director of the Hoglund Biomedical Imaging Center and Director of Clinical Trials for Nephrology. Her clinical practice focuses on kidney transplant evaluation, perioperative management, and post-transplant care.
Gupta's NIH and PCORI-funded research examines geriatric nephrology, hypertension, cognitive impairment, and frailty in patients with chronic kidney disease. Current projects investigate remote monitoring for hypertension control to prevent cognitive decline (R33 AG068483) and health disparities in Black patients (PCORI RHYTHM-B).
She received the 2024 Department of Internal Medicine Outstanding Investigator Award, Patrick and Virginia Clune Award, and American Journal of Kidney Diseases Editorial Choice Award. Gupta serves on NIH study sections and Data Safety Monitoring Boards.
