Jay Jackson

Jay Jackson is an Adjunct Professor at Art Center College of Design since 2017, and has taught at Animation Mentor since 2008. He holds a position in the Department of Entertainment Design. Jackson is a seasoned animator with 15 years at Disney, contributing to iconic films like The Little Mermaid and Tarzan, and later working at Turner Features and Sony Imageworks on titles such as Cats Don’t Dance, Open Season, and The Aviator. He also animated The Simpsons Movie and the associated Universal Studios ride.

His career spans commercial and educational film animation, alongside co-direction roles. Jackson teaches courses including 2D Mechanics, Acting for Animation, and Shorts Preparation. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
