Jason Vodicka

Jason Vodicka is a Senior Associate Dean in the College of Arts and Sciences at Rider University and an Associate Professor of Music Education at Westminster Choir College. He supervises performance-related operations for over 125 annual student/faculty performances and works within Rider University's School of Communication, Media, & Performing Arts.

• Bachelor's Degree in Music Education
• Master's Degree in Music Education
• Doctorate in Conducting (University of Georgia)

Dr. Vodicka specializes in choral music pedagogy and has developed the Framework for Culturally Relevant and Responsive Music Teaching. His research focuses include culturally responsive teaching, music learning theory, and choral rehearsal practices, supported by grants from the National Association for Music Education.

• Inducted into the Westminster Choir College Music Education Hall of Fame (2017)

With 9 years in PreK-12 public schools and over a decade in higher education, Dr. Vodicka actively engages in community music leadership as Artistic Director of the New Jersey MasterChorale and frequently serves as a clinician/guest conductor across the United States, including upcoming engagements with the New Mexico treble all-state choir in 2026.
