Professor Jason Pole is Deputy Director of the Queensland Digital Health Centre (QDHeC) and a Professor in the Centre for Health Services Research at the University of Queensland's Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences. He also holds appointments as an Associate Professor at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto, and as an Adjunct Senior Scientist at ICES, Toronto.

Jason leads research in digital health applications for system performance improvement, childhood cancer survivorship, and real-world data analysis. His work spans patient safety, healthcare utilization, and financial/economic outcomes of cancer diagnoses. He has developed a model of burden of illness for childhood and AYA cancer survivors, incorporating educational attainment and economic status alongside health outcomes.
His recent publications focus on digital health infrastructure, cancer survivorship outcomes, and data linkage methodologies. Notable projects include the RECOVER model of care and NINA federated learning system. Jason is available for HDR supervision in digital health and pediatric oncology, with current projects examining EMR data validation and PROMs analysis.
Jason leads QDHeC's research initiatives and collaborates with teams across health economics, nephrology, and AI-driven healthcare. His work addresses the Quintuple Aim of healthcare improvement through technology integration and policy development.
