Dr. Jason Myers is a Professor of New Testament at Gordon College, affiliated with the School of Ministry, Theology and Biblical Studies. He previously served as Professor of Biblical Studies at Greensboro College. He holds a Ph.D. in New Testament from Asbury Theological Seminary (2015), an M.Div. from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, and a B.A. from Cedarville University.
His research focuses on the social world of the New Testament, Pauline epistles (especially Romans and Galatians), and rhetorical criticism of the New Testament. He has presented internationally in India, Nigeria, Estonia, Turkey, Italy, and England. His work includes co-authoring four books such as Voices and Views on Paul (2015), Paul of Arabia (2020), and Rhetoric, History, and Theology (2022), alongside editorship of the Proclamation: Preaching the New Testament series. His 2023 monograph, Paul, The Apostle of Obedience: Reading Obedience in Romans, explores Pauline theology.
Current projects include a commentary on Colossians and Philemon for the Proclamation series. His recent contributions to the Dictionary of Paul and His Letters (2nd ed.) reflect his expertise in Pauline studies.
