Jason Anderson

Jason Anderson is an Associate Professor in the Architecture Program at California College of the Arts (CCA), where he has taught since 2006. His work focuses on the intersection of video game engines, virtual/augmented/mixed reality (VR/AR/MR), and architecture, aiming to innovate design processes and user experiences. He leads studioAnomalous (sA), a practice consulting on large-scale AR/VR projects and creating standalone applications across art, architecture, entertainment, and finance.

Research & Practice: Anderson’s research explores how digital tools redefine spatial design and cultural landscapes. His studio, sA, merges speculative design with cutting-edge technology to challenge traditional architectural paradigms. He has also taught at Columbia University, Parsons School of Design, and Pratt Institute, emphasizing technology-driven pedagogy.
