Janet Mosher

Janet Mosher is an Associate Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University. Her work bridges law, social work, and community advocacy, with a focus on gender-based violence and marginalized populations.

Education: BMusA from Western Ontario, LLB from Queen's University, LLM from University of Toronto. She is a member of the Bar of Ontario.

• Research: Gender-based violence, access to justice, poverty law, homelessness, and clinical legal education.

Recent research explores intersections of family law, immigration law, and domestic violence, including the criminalization of women survivors. Her publications address systemic challenges in justice systems during pandemics and child welfare reforms.

She supervises graduate research in qualitative methodologies, particularly community-based participatory action research, focusing on law and social change.
