Janet Howes, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Business Administration and the Program Director of the Sport Management Program at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) since 2017. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Northern Colorado, an M.Ed. from Cambridge College, and a B.A. from Daemen College. Her research focuses on sport event volunteer management and servant leadership, with contributions presented on volunteerism motivations in sport events.
Dr. Howes has extensive professional experience in sport competitions, including roles at the 2013 X Games, 2010 Winter Olympics, 2004 Summer Olympics, and 2002 Winter Olympics. She actively engages with professional organizations such as the North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM), the Sport Marketing Association (SMA), and serves on the board of the Colorado Senior Sport Development Council (CSSDC).
