Janet Curran

Dr. Janet Curran is a Part-time Lecturer in the Strategy, Enterprise and Sustainability department at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School, specializing in the CMDA degree apprenticeship programme for Health and Social Care. With over 30 years' corporate training experience, she maintains an active coaching consultancy alongside academic work.

Her research uses observational analysis of verbal behavior to understand workplace dynamics, focusing on why individuals engage (or disengage) with coaching interventions. Current projects examine inclusivity in construction and sales effectiveness strategies.

Publications explore technology's role in student engagement and AI's impact on higher education. She teaches the Developing Self and Others module and supports final projects.
