James Crawley is a Senior Lecturer in Enterprise Practice at Manchester Metropolitan University, affiliated with the College of Business and Law and the Department of Strategy, Enterprise and Sustainability. He serves as Academic Lead for the Centre for Digital Innovation within the Centre for Enterprise. Since joining MMU in 2018, he completed his PGCLTHE in 2020.
His work focuses on enterprise development, digital innovation, and SME growth, with leadership roles in UK government-funded projects. He teaches and supervises NHS staff through the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship and previously managed the £9M ERDF-funded Cheshire and Warrington Business Growth Programme (CWBGP).
