Christopher Taylor is an Enterprise Fellow in the Centre for Enterprise at Manchester Metropolitan University, affiliated with the Faculty of Business and Law. He also serves as a teaching staff member in the Department of Strategy, Enterprise and Sustainability (SES).
His work focuses on supporting SME innovation, particularly in sustainability and advanced technologies. Projects include:
- ERDF Eco-I NW (2021–2023): Operational lead for Manchester Met, collaborating with Science and Engineering faculty and NW universities to reduce SME greenhouse gas emissions.
- PrintCity Network (2021–2023): Operational lead for innovation in Greater Manchester SMEs via Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Manchester Fuel Cell Innovation Centre (2018–2021): Project Lead, supporting 77 SMEs in hydrogen and fuel cell technology adoption, resulting in 21 new products/services.
His research interests span enterprise development, sustainable technology, and Industry 4.0 applications. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, emphasizing practical innovation and commercialization in business contexts.
