Janet Clarkson

Janet Clarkson is Professor of Dental Research at the University of Manchester and Director of the Scottish Dental Clinical Effectiveness Programme. With expertise in evidence-based dentistry and knowledge translation, she leads national guidance development and practice-based research networks. Her work focuses on implementing research evidence in primary dental care to improve patient outcomes.

Research interests include:

• Implementation science in dentistry
• Practice-based research methodologies

Recent publications address water fluoridation efficacy and silver diamine fluoride applications.
