Janellen Farmer

Janellen Farmer serves as an Adjunct Voice Instructor in the Department of School of Performing Arts at DeSales University, where she specializes in vocal pedagogy across multiple performance genres. She concurrently co-directs The Studio of Valley Forge, a private music and dance institution.

Her academic training includes:

• Music education at the Curtis Institute of Music
• Studies at Westminster Choir College of Rider University
• Choral conducting instruction under James Jordan and James Whitbourn at Oxford University

Ms. Farmer maintains an active performance career spanning opera, jazz, rock, pop, and cabaret, with appearances at Carnegie Hall, Philadelphia's Academy of Music, and luxury venues including Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton Hotels. Her artistic collaborations include work with conductors Leonard Bernstein, Anton Coppola, Rafael Fruhbeck de Burgos, and Ricardo Muti.

Through The Studio of Valley Forge—co-owned with her daughter, dancer Sarah Vogan—she provides specialized voice instruction and artistic mentorship. The studio integrates vocal training with dance education, reflecting her interdisciplinary approach to performance arts education.
