Jane Springer is the James L. Ferguson Professor of Literature and Creative Writing at Hamilton College, where she has taught since 2006. Her academic work focuses on poetry, poetics, nonfiction, and Southern literature, with a current project exploring the evolution of fire through hybrid essays and poems.
