Robert Griffith

Robert Griffith is a Professor of Writing at Savannah College of Art and Design, where he has taught since Fall 2022. With an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Arkansas and a B.A. in English from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, he previously held positions at the University of Evansville and Harlaxton College. His administrative experience includes serving as Chair of the Creative Writing Department and directing multiple academic programs.

Griffith's research spans creative writing, poetry, and literature, with a focus on narrative techniques and symbolic expression. His publications explore themes ranging from mythological allegory to psychological depth, employing formal verse and metaphorical language to examine human experiences.

He has received significant recognition including the Best Book of Indiana award (2008), University of Evansville Outstanding Teacher Award (2005), and multiple Pushcart Prize nominations. His scholarly contributions also include editing works through Measure Press and directing the Richard Wilbur Book Award program.
