Jane Murray

Jane Murray teaches oboe as a Lecturer at the University of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College. She holds the solo English horn chair in the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra since 1978. Performance experience includes principal oboe roles with New Bedford Symphony and Festival Ballet, plus chamber collaborations with Hilltop Trio and Northeast Chamber Ensemble.

• B.M., Oboe Performance, Boston University

As a Licensed Body Mapping Educator, she teaches somatic awareness to prevent musician injuries through courses at URI, Rhode Island College, and national workshops (e.g., International Double Reed Society). Solo engagements include Newport Music Festival and Kingston Chamber Music Festival.
