Jane Maud

Jane Maud is an Associate Lecturer - Acting at St Mary's University, combining teaching with a prestigious 35-year acting career. She holds a BA from Essex University and a postgraduate acting degree from Mountview Academy. Her professional work spans over 100 stage roles in the West End, Repertory, and fringe theatre, alongside television, film, and radio.

Her research and performance interests center on Shakespearean roles, including iconic portrayals such as Titania (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Lady Macbeth, Cordelia/Goneril (King Lear), and Gertrude (Hamlet). She has performed with leading companies including the Royal Shakespeare Company, Cheek by Jowl, and Theatr Clwyd.

Jane’s acting accolades include two Best Supporting Actress nominations. She actively balances academic instruction with ongoing professional engagements in theatre and media.
