Jane Haugseth

Jane Haugseth is an Assistant Professor at the University of Inland Norway, affiliated with the Faculty of Teacher Education and Pedagogy and the Department of Pedagogy in Lillehammer. Her work focuses on developing and implementing commissioned educational programs at further education and master's levels, particularly in early childhood education, kindergarten pedagogy, and educational leadership. She has held subject responsibility for studies such as 'Further Education in Kindergarten Pedagogy' (2012-2016), 'Learning Environment and Pedagogical Leadership in Kindergarten' (2016–2020), and 'Educational Management and Learning Environment' (2020–present).

Her research interests include children's right to participation, inclusion, leadership in early childhood education, and the role of kindergartens as learning organizations. She has contributed to regional competence development through initiatives like the Rekomp scheme (2018–2022) and online resource development for inclusive kindergartens in collaboration with the Directorate of Education and SELL/Center for Lifelong Learning. She also participated in the interdisciplinary master's course 'Communication in Professional Contexts' (2020–2023).

Publications highlight her work on staffing challenges in kindergartens, framework plan evaluations, and behavioral studies. Her current focus is on qualifying as a senior lecturer, emphasizing development work as a teaching and learning framework.
