Judith Ologi

Judith Ologi is a PhD Research Fellow in Teacher Education and Pedagogy at NLA University College, Bergen, actively contributing to kindergarten teacher education while pursuing doctoral studies. Her work bridges academic research with practical pedagogical implementation across Norwegian and Kenyan educational contexts.

Research Interests: Judith's scholarship centers on early childhood education with specialized focus on inclusion/diversity and language education in multilingual settings. Her work examines mother tongue pedagogy, bilingual education challenges (particularly in Kenyan contexts), and English/Norwegian as second languages through phenomenological frameworks (Van Manen). She investigates pedagogical leadership in kindergartens, transition processes to primary school, and child participation dynamics.

Teaching and Professional Engagement: Since 2019, Judith has taught in NLA's kindergarten teacher education program covering Language/Text/Mathematics (STM) and Leadership/Cooperation/Development (LSU). She served as course responsible for Pedagogical Leadership in Early Childhood Education (2020-2022) and coordinated the REKOMP project with 8 kindergartens for competence development (2019-2022). Previously, she worked as a pedagogical specialist at Den Internasjonale Barnehagen in Bergen (2014-2019) and taught English/literature at Segero Kristent Videregående skole in Kenya (2007-2009).
