Jane Cooksey is a Senior Lecturer in Contextual Studies for Design & Applied Arts at the University of Wolverhampton’s Faculty of Arts, Business and Social Sciences. She holds a joint degree in Fine Art and Education Studies, and earned her PhD through a bursary-funded project on educational reform at the Wolverhampton School of Art and Design.
- Research Interests: Focus on the history of art education provision in Britain/Europe, evolution of Birmingham’s wholesale clothing industry, socio-economic and cultural factors in local history.
- Professional Affiliations: Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), Associate Member of the Centre for Print History and Culture (Birmingham City University/University of Birmingham collaboration).
- Expertise: Student support strategies, learning skills for higher education, special needs education, and dyslexia research.
