Jane Connory is a Senior Lecturer in Communication Design at Swinburne University of Technology’s School of Design and Architecture. Her research examines gender equity, inclusivity, and historical representation in design, with projects spanning menstrual product stigma, sustainable behavior change, and LGBTQIA+ health communication.
She leads grants including 'Unlocking a Greener Australia' (2025) exploring barriers to citizen sustainability, and 'Inclusive Design Program' (2023) advancing accessibility. Her exhibition Sanitary Secrets analyzed 100 years of period advertising, while the Bloody Big Survey report documented Australian menstrual attitudes. Publications appear in Design Issues and Culture, Health & Sexuality, addressing visual stigma reduction and trans-inclusive design.
As PhD supervisor, she mentors projects on vernacular data visualization and reflexive design practices.
