Jana Friedrichsen is Professor of Economics and Ethics at the Institute of Economics, Kiel University. She previously served as a postdoctoral research fellow at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Berlin Social Science Center (WZB), and DIW Berlin. From April 2021 to September 2022, she was guest professor in Microeconomics at Freie Universität Berlin.
She earned her PhD from the University of Mannheim and maintains current affiliations as a DIW fellow and CESifo Research Network Affiliate. Her academic trajectory includes participation in the Berlin School of Economics research associates program.
