Prof. Dr. h.c. Jutta Allmendinger is a renowned sociologist serving as President of the Berlin Social Science Center (WZB) and Professor of Sociology at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin since 2007. She also holds an Honorary Professorship at Freie Universität Berlin (since 2012). Her academic journey includes studies in Mannheim and Madison, a Ph.D. from Harvard University, and a habilitation at Freie Universität Berlin. From 1992 to 2007, she was a professor at Ludwig Maximilians Universität in Munich and led the Federal Employment Agency’s Institute for Employment Research (IAB) from 2003 to 2007.
